In the Fall of 2004, we built a new Island
House, after having completed 20 years
of hosting guests in the original Island
House. Our new home is built with our
many guests in mind. The 2 guest rooms,
loft apartment

and common room are all spacious and bright. Furnishings from Ann's
childhood years in Southeast Asia blend comfortably with the Maine simplicity
of the house. The guest rooms are on the main floor, and the apartment is over
the double garage.
Our guests speak appreciatively of the warm hospitality and "homeiness" they
feel at the Island House, as well as the tasty and varied breakfasts served by
Ann and Charlie, who both enjoy cooking. A cozy woodstove on cool evenings, a
piano to play, books for browsing, and a picnic table in the woods all
contribute to a restful and quiet place where guests choose to return year after
year.
